Job Description:

Tim McGallian - State Farm Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton, CA. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, policy retention, and fostering a positive relationship with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding insurance policies, coverages, billing, and claims.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to clients about their policies and assist with policy changes, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Process and document customer requests, ensuring all information is accurately entered into the system.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of insurance quotes and policy proposals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State Farm insurance products, services, and industry regulations.
  • Support the agency's sales goals by identifying potential leads and referring them to licensed agents.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using CRM software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
